Scheduling, Staffing, and Safety

No problem — just let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust staffing and avoid interruptions for other clients. We understand that life happens, and we’re flexible with advance notice.
At PHS, we’re committed to reliability — but we’re also human, and occasionally a caregiver may need to call out due to illness, family emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances. When this happens, our scheduling team immediately begins reaching out to qualified backup caregivers to fill your shift.

We do everything possible to ensure your scheduled care continues as planned, but there may
be rare occasions when a replacement isn’t available for that exact time. If that happens, we’ll notify you right away and coordinate the soonest possible coverage.
We strive for consistency so that you can build trust and comfort with familiar caregivers. However, if your regular caregiver is unavailable, we’ll send another trained PHS professional who has access to your care plan and client notes for seamless continuity.
